Arlington, VA – GOPAC today announced the opening of its Western Regional Office, which is located in Southern California and managed by Megan Rodriguez, Projects Director. The office will focus on the organization’s efforts in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. This is Rodriguez’s second stint with GOPAC, as she directed the organization’s political programs during the 2012 election cycle.

“GOPAC’s Western Regional Office will strengthen our mission to build a roster of Republicans equipped to lead in their state legislatures and run for higher office,” said GOPAC Chairman David Avella. “Our Western Regional Office will keep us at the center of preparing the Republican Party’s farm team to capitalize on the opportunities before us in the 2016 elections. As we have seen, Republican majorities in 69 of 99 state legislative chambers have proven a tremendous advantage in federal elections.”

In addition, GOPAC announced Bill Kristol, editor and co-founder of The Weekly Standard, and Hugh Hewitt, nationally syndicated talk-show host, will speak at GOPAC’s 2015 Western Regional Forum being held May 18 – 19, 2015 in Phoenix, Arizona. The Forum is an unparalleled opportunity to exchange conservative ideas and solutions amongst state legislative chamber leaders and committee chairs in the western states. The Forum will feature informative and thought-provoking discussions on policies to boost job creation and deliver essential public services in innovative, cost effective ways.
