GOPAC Announces Endorsement of Dana Young for Florida State Senate

Arlington, VA (June 29, 2016) – GOPAC today announced its endorsement of Dana Young in her bid to represent state Senate District 18, which includes South Tampa and Hillsborough County.

“Dana Young’s election will bring important issues front and center in the Florida Senate. She is a strong advocate for lowering taxes and providing jobs skills and training at an affordable cost and without over-reliance on student loan debt. Young also supports cybersecurity efforts to prevent against further hacks and security breaches that expose personal data. Her commitment to conservative, Republican principles is why we are committed to her success,” stated GOPAC Chairman David Avella.

Representative Young is a member of GOPAC’s influential Legislative Leaders Advisory Board, which promotes conservative state leaders and the ideas they are championing, as well as assists with electing new generations of Republican leaders. She was first elected to the Florida House in 2010 with 56 percent of the vote and subsequently re-elected in 2012 and 2014.
