Dr. Joseph J. Heck of Nevada
Dr. Heck is the President of Specialized Medical Operations, Inc., a corporation dedicated to providing cutting-edge emergency response training, consulting, and operational support to Law Enforcement, EMS, Military Special Operations, and Business & Industry. Board-certified in Emergency Medicine with a Certificate of Added Qualification in EMS, Dr. Heck is the Operational Medical Director for the Southern Nevada Health District in Las Vegas, Nevada, providing medical oversight for the EMS system and public health preparedness, and the Medical Director for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD). He has worked as a healthcare provider, educator, and administrator.
Elected to the Nevada State Senate in 2004, he is Vice Chair of the Transportation and Homeland Security Committee, and serves on the Commerce & Labor, Natural Resources, and Human Resources & Education committees.
Dr. Heck’s involvement in EMS began in 1978 as a volunteer firefighter/EMT - A. He is a member of the LVMPD Search & Rescue team and a tactical physician with the Department’s SWAT team, and has previously served as a FEMA USAR Physician with NV-TF1. He served as the Vice-Chair of the Domestic Preparedness Committee of the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians and has had previous academic appointments as Medical Director, Department of EMS at the Community College of Southern Nevada, Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery in the University of Nevada School of Medicine, and Visiting Scientist in the Department of Military and Emergency Medicine at the Uniformed Services University. He is currently an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor in Primary Care / Emergency Medicine at Touro University – Nevada, College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Heck has lectured and published widely on special operations medical support and the medical response to acts of terrorism. He served as the Medical Director for the Nevada Hospital Association’s Hospital Preparedness program and as a member of the American Osteopathic Association’s Task Force on Bioterrorism. From 1998 to 2003, Dr. Heck served as the Medical Director of the Casualty Care Research Center of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland.
Dr. Heck graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Health Education, received his Doctor of Osteopathy from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is a fellow of both the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians and The American College of Emergency Physicians. Dr. Heck is an Emergency Medicine Physician in the United States Army Reserve, having recently completed a tour of duty in Iraq. He holds the rank of Colonel and is currently assigned as a Battalion Commander. He is a graduate of the U.S. Army War College with a Master of Strategic Studies.

Dolores Gresham of Tennessee
First elected in 2002, Dolores Gresham has served in the Tennessee House of Representatives for six years. Dolores represents District 94 which consists of Fayette County, part of Hardeman County, and South Tipton County.
She was assigned to the House Agriculture Committee and to the House Education Committee both of which were her first choices. She was selected to serve as Vice Chair of the Higher Education Subcommittee. Dolores was elected Secretary of the House Republican Caucus Leadership team in 2005.
Dolores possesses a track record of over 40 years in public and community service. Her experience includes work as a member of several boards:

- Southwest Community College Foundation Board
- Fayette Haywood Enterprise Community Board
- Foster Care Review Board
- Board of Directors, Heart to Heart
- Partner and Co-manager, Somerville Livestock Market
Dolores has also served as president of the Board for many different organizations including Fayette County Chamber of Commerce, Tennessee Cattlewomen’s Association, and Fayette Cares. She is a member of the Fayette County and Tipton County Livestock Associations, the Tennessee Farm Bureau, and is a Life Member of the National Rifle Association, and the National Skeet Shooting Association.
Her education includes a Bachelors of Arts degree from Incarnate Word College in San Antonio, Texas. She received a Master of Arts degree from Loyola of New Orleans, and a Master of Science in Administration from George Washington University, Washington D.C.

She and her husband, Will, both retired from the United Sates Marine Corps with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. They live on their farm just east of Somerville. They are both active in their church, St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church near Somerville, TN.
