GOPAC to feature Melendez, Navarro, Youngblood and Henderson at the Western Republican Leadership Conference

Today, GOPAC announced state Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez (CA), state Representative Clarice Navarro (CO), state Representative Monica Youngblood (NM) and state Senator Deidre Henderson (UT) will be featured at their Emerging Leaders Town Hall during the Western Republican Leadership Conference in Salt Lake City, April 24-25, 2014.

As part of GOPAC’s Emerging Leaders program, the Town Hall will promote these talented state leaders and provide them a platform to advance the ideas they are championing.

GOPAC Chairman Frank Donatelli highlighted recent legislation each Emerging Leader has fought for as a showcase of the ideas they are advancing:

“Assemblywoman Melendez is leading efforts to protect the privacy rights of Californians. This is crucial with the recent disclosure that the state agency implementing Obamacare was releasing individuals’ personal information without their consent,” remarked Donatelli.

“Representative Navarro has been successful at increasing funding for the Colorado Fraud Investigators Unit to assist with ramping up investigations and preventative measures to stay ahead of identity thieves preying on Coloradans,” said Donatelli.

“Representative Youngblood is a strong proponent of efforts to ensure children receive a quality education regardless of their financial circumstances. She understands a quality education is the first step in making New Mexico a place where individuals can pursue their dreams,” commented Donatelli.

“Senator Henderson is a proven taxpayers’ advocate. She successfully authored legislation this year to require public hearings before new taxes are implemented,” concluded Donatelli.

The Western Republican Leadership Conference brings together hundreds of activists, operatives, and party leaders from 13 states to discuss the future of the Republican Party. For more information on the WRLC, visit:
