Arlington, Va (October 18, 2016) – GOPAC today announced its endorsement of Florida Senator Marco Rubio in his bid for re-election to the United States Senate as part of the group’s Conservative Congress Project. Senator Rubio is an alumni of GOPAC and previously led the organization’s efforts in Florida.
Along with the endorsement, the GOPAC Election Fund invested the maximum allowable contribution of $5,000 to Senator Rubio’s re-election campaign.
“Marco Rubio has been and remains one of our Republican Party’s most effective messengers on keeping America a place where we can pursue our dreams and live in freedom. Throughout his elective service, he has championed the job creation ideas and limited government principles for which GOPAC was built. We are pleased to support him in his re-election to the U.S. Senate,” stated GOPAC Chairman David Avella.
The Conservative Congress Project assists GOPAC-affiliated state legislators running for higher office in their primary and general elections. As part of the Conservative Congress Project, the GOPAC Election Fund provides the maximum allowable federal contributions and encourages GOPAC members and supporters to donate directly to each endorsed candidate. The candidates are also eligible for GOPAC Election Fund independent expenditures.
